Prof. Dr. Thorsten Dill was born in Hamburg. He studied medicine at the University of Hamburg and the Free University of Berlin. From 1994 to 1999 he worked in the medical clinic at the Eppendorf University Hospital in Hamburg. In 1999, he accepted the offer to go to one of the largest heart centers in Germany and moved to Kerckhoff-Klinik GmbH in Bad Nauheim. He completed his examinations to become an internist in 2001 and a cardiologist in 2003 and completed his habilitation at the University of Giessen in 2006. He led a scientific working group on cardiac imaging for over ten years and is a nationally and internationally recognized specialist in this area, as well as in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction. He is a member of national and international steering committees and a reviewer for various journals. He is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and a member of the scientific advisory board of the German Heart Foundation. After many years as a senior physician and managing senior physician, he moved to the Sana Hospital Benrath in 2010 as chief physician of the medical clinic.
