Prof. Murat BİNBAY

Prof. Dr. Murat Binbay is a distinguished urologist based in Istanbul, Turkey, with extensive experience in laparoscopic and robotic surgeries for urological cancers. He completed his medical education at Istanbul University Istanbul Medical Faculty in 1999 and pursued his specialization in urology at Haseki Training and Research Hospital, completing it in 2005. Prof. Binbay has held significant positions throughout his career, including serving as the Urology Clinic Training Supervisor at Haseki Training and Research Hospital and as a Robotic Surgery Specialist at Mehmet Akif Ersoy Chest and Cardiovascular Surgery Hospital. Since 2017, he has been practicing as a Urology Specialist at Memorial Şişli Hospital in Istanbul. In 2018, he was appointed as the Head of the Urology Department at Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine.

Prof. Binbay has performed over 2,500 laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, specializing in the treatment of prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and bladder cancer. He has also conducted more than 1,000 percutaneous nephrolithotomy procedures and over 800 ureteroscopy operations for kidney stone treatment. His scholarly contributions include over 100 articles published in international refereed journals and 10 book chapters, with nearly 1,500 citations to his work. He has been invited as a speaker, moderator, and panelist to numerous international urology meetings.
